ISPMA MSc Thesis Award 2022: Celebrating Bogdan Moroz’s Contribution to Software Product Management

At the SPM Summit Europe, held in Frankfurt, Germany on May 3-4, 2023, we had the pleasure of honoring Bogdan Moroz as the recipient of the inaugural 2022 ISPMA MSc Thesis Award. At ISPMA, an open, non-profit consortium, we strongly value the advancement of knowledge within our field. The establishment of the ISPMA MSc Thesis Award is a testament to this commitment, recognizing MSc theses that make significant contributions to the software product management discipline.

Bogdan Moroz, our first recipient, has indeed embodied this objective. His thesis, A Process Model for Initial Product Strategy Development for B2B SaaS, introduces a practical process model for the early stages of product strategy development within the B2B SaaS sector. Moroz skillfully delineates a comprehensive, step-by-step strategy development process, recommending useful tools for each phase. This model has already demonstrated its effectiveness in a real-world application at a Finnish B2B software company, facilitating the transformation of a client-specific system into a marketable B2B SaaS product.

We would like to express our congratulations to Bogdan Moroz on this accomplishment and recognize the concrete value his research adds to the software product management discipline. His pioneering approach to strategy formulation serves as a launching pad for future scholarly endeavors in this arena.
