ISPMA has created the new SPM High-5 Certification Award, to recognize product managers who have received all available ISPMA SPM Certificates. The first to be presented with the new award is Roland Weinacht from Linz, Austria.

For a long time, the standard approach for software product planning and development was requirements-driven. We elicit and collect market requirements, analyze them and decide which ones to implement when. These used to be the steps with waterfall methodology, and basically it is the same with agile, e.g. Scrum, though roles and responsibilities and timing are a bit different.

I believe that nobody has even an approximate estimate, but we can safely assume that we are talking about billions. What is even more staggering is the progression. Look at this chart: What we are observing is an almost vertical hockey stick curve, which triggered what we can now consider a true revolution. In fact, in Europe, we started referring to this as the 4th Industrial Revolution, or Industry 4.0.
