Associate Professor at IIM Sambalpur

India

Merlin Nandy is an Associate Professor of Information Systems at IIM Sambalpur, India.
She is a Fellow of IIM Calcutta (Ph.D.). She teaches courses on Management Information
Systems, IT Consulting, Managing Platform Business and IS Theories & Research. Her
research focuses on the adoption of technology, platform businesses, connected vehicle
technology and digital transformation. She is a ISPMA Certified Software Product Manager
Excellence Level - Product Strategy. She has published in various conference proceedings
including AMCIS, ISC, HICSS and journals including Transportation Research Part F:
Traffic Psychology and Behaviour, Transportation Planning and Technology, Journal of
Organizational Computing and Electronic Commerce, Asia Pacific Journal of Information
Systems, Journal of Cases in IT, Journal of Information Technology Case and Application
Research and Journal of Macromarketing. Prior to her academic stint she had industry
experience that spanned more than a decade at IBM India Private Ltd. She was primarily
engaged in a presales role with focus on e-business, ERP and Intelligent Automation. She
also worked for two years at Cognizant Technology Solutions before joining IIM Calcutta for
doctoral studies.
