Dr. Guenther Ruhe holds an Industrial Research Chair in Software Engineering at University of Calgary. Dr. Ruhe is proud to lead a research team whose primary aim is to establish and demonstrate scientific excellence in the area of software engineering decision support and to collaborate with industry. His main research interests are in the areas of Software Engineering Decision Support, Product Release Planning, Software Project and Process Management, Software Quality Management, Empirical Software Engineering, Software Measurement, Learning Software Organizations as well as Modeling and Simulation. The recent book “Product Release Planning: Methods, Tools and Applications”, CRC Press 2010, presents methods and tools to apply sound planning to product development and product management.
Dr. Ruhe has organized different international conferences and workshops, has given keynotes at various conferences and is a reviewer for a couple of journals in software engineering, computer science and operations research. He has published more than 155 reviewed research papers at journals, workshops and conferences. He is the Associate editor of the Elsevier Journal Information and Software Technology and a member of the Editorial Board of International Journal on Software Engineering and Knowledge Engineering, Journal on Software Process Improvement and Practice, Journal of Intelligent Decision Technologies, Journal on Intelligent Hybrid Systems, Journal of Cognitive Informatics and Natural Intelligence, and International Series on Advanced Intelligence. He is a TRLabs Scientist and a member of the ACM, the IEEE Computer Society, and the German Informatics Society GI.

Christof Ebert is managing director at Vector Consulting Services. He supports clients around the world to improve product strategy and product development and to manage organizational changes. Prior to that, he held global management positions for fifteen years at Alcatel-Lucent.
